Berd XC22 29" XC Series Carbon Wheelset

Berd wheelsets were created with the intention of producing the lightest, highest-performing wheels at a price that is unmatched by competitors. This was accomplished by developing a complete system with Berd rims, Berd spokes, and Industry Nine hubs. The majority of the components for Berd wheels are produced in and assembled in the United States (Berd - Hopkins, MN and Industry Nine - Asheville, NC).

All Berd wheels utilize 28 Berd spokes on the front and rear wheels, and are available with either white or black spokes. Berd spokes offer "magic-carpet-like" damping that is not possible with metal spokes.

After extensive impact testing of rims, Berd decided to use a front/rear specific system for their XC25 and TR27 rims, with a lighter front rim and heavier rear rim to create the lightest and fastest possible wheelset without sacrificing impact strength of the rear wheel. The surface finish on the XC25 and TR27 rims is both glossy and hard-wearing to better resist scratching.

All Berd wheelsets use Industry Nine Hubs including Hydra mountain hubs (690 points of engagement on freehub) and Torch road hubs. Berd partnered with Industry Nine because of their commitment to performance, durability, and innovation with their newest freehubs. And, they can be serviced by nearly any bicycle shop in the North America if necessary.
