Our thoughts:
The XC RC is a meaningful step forward from the previous generation. The added volume makes it noticeably more confident on technical terrain without slowing the tire down, and the squarer profile gives you real cornering grip that the older, rounder XC tires would give up when you pushed past a certain lean angle. The Race Compound keeps rolling resistance impressively low for a tire that also grips well in wet conditions. The LITE casing is genuinely light and the 655g weight is competitive with dedicated XC race tires.
