The Deathgrip pattern is as good as it gets for the money, and the flangeless version is the right call if you use bar-end shifters, want a more neutral hand position, or just prefer a cleaner cockpit without a bump at the inner edge of the grip. Everything that makes the Deathgrip2 great is still here: the mushroom, knurl, and waffle layout, the tapered core, and now the updated core end and refined collar. If you already know you like the Deathgrip feel and just want fewer interruptions, go flangeless.
