From concept to kinematics, geometry to spec, the Nukeproof Reactor Carbon 290 was built from the ground up to be the ultimate aggressive trail bike. It scales technical ascents with surgical precision but truly awakens when pointed down the fall line.

Crafted entirely from a meticulously engineered UD carbon fiber chassis, spanning both the front and rear triangles, including the chain and seat stays. It delivers an uncompromising blend of featherweight agility and bombproof lateral stiffness.

Made for long days in the saddle, it’s your go-anywhere trail weapon ready for epic adventures where 1,000m climbs leads to 1,000m descents. Whatever the mountain throws your way, the Reactor 290 Carbon is armed to handle it.

Mastering the intersection of stiffness, compliance, and strength, the Reactor Carbon relies on a fully unified UD carbon architecture. By utilizing premium carbon fiber for the entire frame, the chassis keeps unsprung mass exceptionally low and dynamic response razor-sharp. It transfers wattage instantly while filtering out the high-frequency trail chatter that causes fatigue on all-day epics. But the true magic lies in its adaptability. The proprietary two-position "Trail or Rail" flip-chip allows you to manipulate handling on demand. Run it in Trail mode for a balanced, highly efficient pedaling platform, or drop it into Rail mode to slam the bottom bracket and slacken the head angle for maximum cornering authority. The versatility even extends to your wheel size: the standard 290 chip can be seamlessly swapped for a 297 MX (mullet) Rail chip, ensuring the geometry and kinematics remain perfectly optimized whether you're rolling on dual 29-inch hoops or a mixed-wheel setup.

The Reactor Carbon is anchored by a progressive geometry chart that balances nimble agility with all-day pedaling efficiency. A long, low, and slack posture guarantees absolute confidence on high-speed descents, while the steepened effective seat tube angle places you in the optimal biomechanical position to conquer punishing climbs. Its four-bar Horst Link platform pushes 140mm of rear travel, meticulously tuned for off-the-top suppleness to maximize traction, backed by a robust mid-stroke to keep the bike popping out of corners and lively in technical terrain. As you push deeper into the stroke, the anti-squat curve deliberately drops off, isolating pedal kickback and keeping the chassis composed through the roughest chunk and under heavy braking. Combined with the on-the-fly adaptability of the flip-chip, this is a true all-mountain chameleon, capable of shifting from a nimble alpine climber to a planted, confidence-inspiring descender whenever the trail demands it.

Every millimeter of the Reactor is hyper-focused on the rider’s real-world experience, blending elite performance with mechanic-friendly practicality. The front triangle easily swallows a full-size 750ml bottle, while a dedicated top tube accessory mount handles your backcountry spares. We’ve carved out massive, mud-proof clearance for high-volume 2.6-inch rubber to thrive in atrocious conditions, and specced premium MAX bearings across all pivots for maximum longevity. Servicing is beautifully straightforward: accessible hardware, standard Allen key fittings, and laser-etched torque specs eliminate workshop headaches. The fully guided tube-in-tube internal routing delivers a pristine, silent aesthetic, while custom 3D-contoured rubber armor silences chain slap and guards against violent rock strikes. Thoughtfully engineered and brutally trail-proven, the Reactor is built to perform ride after ride.
