The Onyx D1 38 sets a new standard for E-Designed suspension. Unlike traditional “acoustic” forks that are retrofitted for e-bikes, the Onyx 38 was developed from the ground up with e-bikes in mind. Instead of making afterthought upgrades like increased compression damping or adding PSI, this fork addresses the specific demands of e-bikes from day one. Engineered to flex uniformly, it delivers precision steering without harshness or deflection and resolves the fore-and-aft flex issues caused by the added weight of an e-bike. • One Unit chassis design
  • Each critical piece of the chassis was designed to work together, as One Unit. DVO focused on a chassis that was compliant enough to mitigate low & high frequency vibrations while dispersing energy waves throughout the entire chassis structure. All this delivers unmatched performance in terms of braking, steering precision and comfort. 
• Remastered D1 damper
  • DVO significantly updated their famed D1 damper, with new High-Flow Compression and Rebound porting, drastically improving performance and tuning ranges. The new Compression design creates high-flow, linear suspension dynamics for initial damping support while eliminating the unwanted high-speed harshness. A high-flow linear Rebound update drastically increases response without the loss of control or damping. DVO's industry exclusive Compression Bladder System received a 30% increase in size, for improved small bump sensitivity and damping consistency.

  • After countless hours of simulations, calculations and prototyping, DVO nailed a dual air system capable of small bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support, and bottom out resistance.
