SRAM Maven Ultimate 4-Piston Disc Brakes (DB-MVN-ULT-B1) don't just raise the benchmark for stopping force, they completely obliterate it. Delivering nearly 50% more power than the Code platform, it translates raw strength into uncompromising control on the most demanding terrain. Total control starts at the lever, where the Ultimate's refined SwingLink architecture requires 32% less input force, dramatically enhancing modulation and reducing arm pump on endless descents. At the wheel, the incredibly stiff 4-bolt caliper acts as a massive thermal heat sink. By managing extreme temperature fluctuations, it ensures your brake feel remains dead-consistent, so the final berm feels exactly like the first drop-in. Because this baseline power is so exceptionally high, you have unprecedented freedom to dial in your exact ride feel simply by downsizing rotors or swapping to our new XL pad compounds. Dressed for the podium, the Maven Ultimate features a sculpted carbon lever blade, machined caliper edges, and premium titanium hardware to complement any modern superbike build. Throw in tool-free Reach and Contact Point Adjust for instant ergonomic tuning, and the hierarchy is clear. Maven is the expert, but Maven Ultimate is the absolute pinnacle.
What is different between SRAM Maven A1 and B1 brakes?
The updated SRAM Maven B1 models have a few small but impactful changes from the already impressive Maven A1 series. There are three primary updates:
- Maven B1 levers have updated lever blades and a re-tuned SwingLink delivering smoother power and enhancing modulation while reducing hand fatigue.
- Maven B1 calipers have 4x 18mm pistons (instead of 2x 18mm and 2x19.5mm found on Maven A1). SRAM reduced the hydraulic ratio slightly because the re-tuned SwingLink increases your mechanical ratio slightly. These cancel each other out and the power between A1 and B1 remains the same.
- Finishes have been updated on Maven ULT, SLV and BRZ. Maven ULT also now features a carbon lever blade.
