The SRAM X-SYNC CR-XSNC-DM-A1 Direct Mount Chainring is the proven foundation of SRAM's 1x drivetrain performance. X-SYNC technology uses tall, square-edged teeth that engage the chain earlier than conventional triangle-profile teeth, while the sharp and narrow tooth shape, combined with rounded chamfer edges, actively manages chain deflection to keep things running smoothly even when the trail gets rough. Mud-clearing recesses designed around the inner chain links and rollers ensure the chainring keeps performing in even the messiest conditions. Lighter than the spider-mount equivalent by 25–50g depending on size, and engineered to work with SRAM's 11-speed Powerchain, these rings are available in 26T and 28T with 3mm or 6mm chainline offsets.

________
Our thoughts:
The X-SYNC Direct Mount rings are a reliable, no-fuss upgrade or replacement option for any SRAM 1x11 drivetrain running a direct mount interface. The tooth profile genuinely works, chain retention is excellent without needing a guide, and they hold up well over time. The steel construction on these variants adds durability over aluminum, which is worth it if you're hard on drivetrains or riding in consistently wet and muddy conditions.
