This is budget-friendly option that delivers incredible value. Whether you plan to go with a MICRO SPLINE setup in future or not, this groupset makes for an easy 1x12s upgrade, today. This groupset's HG-compatible SunRace 12-speed cassette comes with an 11T small cog (vs. 10T for Shimano MICRO SPLINE Cassettes). That is a small trade-off though, and it's an absolutely stellar choice for those wanting to modernize an older mountain bike, now... without getting new hubs or wheels.
